HICAP Relocates to Singapore with AOCAP in 2021

One of the most popular hospitality event for peers in the industry for last several decades has been the Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific (HICAP). Regularly held in October in Hong Kong, due to the pandemic this year it had gone digital. Many missed the mutual interactions and on the spot advice/guidance from the speakers and top notch hospitality attendees/colleagues.

But in 2021 Northstar Travel Group and The BHN Group plan to have HICAP and the Alternative Ownership Conference Asia Pacific (AOCAP) as a physical event in Singapore. The 32nd Annual HICAP event will be held 20-22 October 2021, while the 6th Annual AOCAP will be conducted 19-20 October 2021 at the Fairmont Singapore & Swissotel The Stamford. The events will feature a cross-over networking event on the evening of 20 October.

“We’re delighted to play host to these two distinguished, world-class events at the state-of-the-art Fairmont Singapore & Swissotel The Stamford complex,” said Jeff Higley, President of The BHN Group. “It’s the perfect scenario for these conferences as we believe live, in-person events will begin to re-emerge as 2021 unfolds and there will be great interest in executives re-engaging with colleagues and partners, as well as looking for new business opportunities."

“This represents a new chapter for HICAP as the industry begins its recovery from the painful and prolonged downturn caused by the global pandemic,” he added. “Singapore has been at the forefront of the world’s recovery from the novel coronavirus and we will be in lock-step with the protocols and guidelines put in place to ensure a safe and healthy environment for each of our delegates.”

Hopefully with the vaccine now available the International borders should soon open and again hospitality professionals can gather at a single venue.
